Cyanotype
Cyanotypes are prints made completely without a camera. They were printed with lace and natural materials on textiles, creating a very abstract work. These abstract pieces explore how different materials can be perceived as vulnerable and tactile and therefore perceived as more feminine. Interested in finding the female gaze and perspective on visual arts, this medium is a new way to further explore this side of herself. To complete the series, it includes photograms of a body of water, because water to has always been something very nurturing, like a mother figure, further enhancing the theme of this work.
